Siege and Storm Book Review
This book in particular had more to do with me having a personal connection to it but overall it is a half star better than Shadow and Bone. I just loved the plot in this one more then anything and how the characters all bonded in their own ways, even it they might not have showed it.
When it comes to my own personal preference I loved Nikolai’s sense of adventure and he is without a doubt my favorite character. I know this may seem unfair to say given he did not make an appearance in Shadow and Bone. But I just loved what he added to the story and his relationship with Alina along with his personality. I also cant help but love reading about the setting and what he has to contribute to this; what he is known for.
Entertaining and in-depth-this book was just what I needed. I also liked the character development in this certain book, which is expected since this is obviously not the first book in the series. There was a sense of adventure in Siege and Storm that was inspiring and captivating.
Both Shadow and Bone and Seige and Storm had their own different elements that I liked for specific reasons but I did favor the 2nd book more because of all of this. Furthermore, this second book in Bardugo’s Shadow and Bone trilogy was definitely worth the read.
